नई दिल्ली: सरहुल आदिवासियों के प्रकृति प्रेम का प्रतीक है और आदिवासियों के प्रकृति प्रेम के प्रतीक के रुप में सरहुल पर्व पूरे झारखंड में मनाया जाता है। इस बार सरहुल 15 अप्रैल को है। यह आदिवासी समुदाय का सबसे बड़ा पर्व माना जाता है।
दरअसल यह पर्व रबी की फसल कटने के साथ ही शुरू होता है इसलिए इसे नए वर्ष के आने की खुशी में मनाया जाता है। हर साल चैत्र महीने के शुक्ल पक्ष की तृतीया तिथि को चांद दिखने के साथ ही सरहुल का आरंभ एवं पूर्णिमा के दिन इसका अंत होता है। 15 अप्रैल को ही चैत्र मास की तृतीया तिथि है और इसी दिन सरहुल मनाया जाता है।
सरहुल झारखंड का प्रमुख पर्व है और यह आदिवासियों का भव्य उत्सव है। मूलत: यह प्रकृति की आराधना का पर्व है। सरहुल पर्व को झारखंड की विभिन्न जनजातियां अलग-अलग नाम से मनाती हैं। उरांव जनजाति इसे खुदी पर्व, संथाल बाहा पर्व, मुंडा बा पर्व और खड़िया जनजाति जंकौर पर्व के नाम से मनाते हैं।
